As a Realty Connect agent, do I have MLS access?

No.

Realty Connect agents will NOT have MLS access, lockbox privileges, the ability to show homes, hold open houses or write real estate contracts.

Can I still help people buy and sell homes?

No.

Realty Connect agents are NOT able to practice real estate, represent clients or help people transact real estate in ANY professional capacity.

 

What if I want to go back into selling real estate?

Realty Connect is a Licensed For Referral Only (LFRO) real estate company created to provide non-practicing agents a place to hang their license with a licensed brokerage in order to protect all the hard work and investment they have made in the real estate industry. Licensed in all 50 states, our agents maintain the ability to generate income through referrals.

Our process is simple. Just submit your referrals to Realty Connect and we’ll connect your clients with up to 3 top-local agents from our nationwide network of over 50,000 agents (serving every zip code in all 50 states), based on the client’s unique needs and the skills and strengths of the agent. We manage the entire process and pay you a 30% referral commission when the deal closes.

A Referral Agent is a licensed real estate agent whose services are limited to referring clients for the purposes of commencing a real estate transaction. They do not actively solicit or engage in the sale of property.

Absolutely. Newly licensed agents are welcomed.

Currently, we do not offer this option. Our nationwide network of over 90,000 top-rated agents serve all 50 states and are vetted based on the highest standards. However, if for any reason we’re unable to place your referral with an agent in our network, you will be provided with the option to choose your own agent at that point.

No. Agents who join Realty Connect are not REALTOR® members and do not have access to the MLS.

Yes. Agents who join are required to keep their license active which includes taking the required CE education for renewal.

We offer 2 plans. You can join 100% free under our Starter Plan or pay $100 year for our Premium Plan.

We have no other required fees. Of course, you will still need to pay your state license renewal fees and keep up with your CE as a condition of keeping your license current. But those fees are paid directly to the state and your CE provider.

Yes, absolutely! As a Realty Connect agent, you can receive a referral fee every time you buy and sell your own homes too. This benefit alone makes joining a no-brainer!

Yes, you must be fully licensed and in good standing (current with C.E. requirements) to join Realty Connect and receive referral fees. It is illegal for a broker or licensee to pay compensation to any unlicensed individual.

No, Realty Connect agents cannot simultaneously be licensed with another real estate brokerage. The only exception to this is if the agent is licensed in more than one state.

If you fail to renew a license prior to it’s expiration date, most states offer a redemption period. However, you cannot perform activities requiring a real estate license or receive a commission until your license has been renewed. To determine what is needed to renew or activate your license, contact the real estate commission in your state.

NO. Realty Connect agents can only refer clients and earn referral commission fees. Listing homes and/or representing buyers is NOT permitted. To do so would be a violation of our policies and would result in immediate license termination, forfeit of any/all pending referral commissions, and may warrant legal action. If you ever want to become an active agent, just let us know and we’ll help you transfer your license to another firm. You can cancel your membership or transfer your license to another broker at any time.

We pride ourselves on finding the right fit for your client.  At the end of the day, our goal is to make great matches. However, if we can’t make a great match, we offer agent the ability to choose their own agent.

Our service is completely free to your client.

We do all the work for you. Just submit your request, and we’ll send your clients up to 3 top local agents within one business day once we’ve contacted them to verify their real estate needs and contact information. Once your client selects the agent they like best, we already have referral agreements in place, and these agents are committed to providing the best possible experience for your clients.

No. Our network is not designed for “cold” referrals or internet lead submissions. Reason being, 99.99% of cold referrals and internet leads don’t convert. Our network is ONLY for friends, family & people you know. If you don’t know if your referral is a cold referral or internet lead, here’s a simple test: Ask yourself, when we call this person to verify their information, and we mention your name, will they know who you are? If not, this is a cold referral or internet lead. Agents placing cold referral/internet leads into our system is a violation of our Terms and Conditions and can result in immediate license termination and forfeiture of any pending referral commissions.
